Mrs. Jenks, (Miss Emily), formerly a professional model with Model Managment of Potomac, Maryland, is a graduate of the Erickson (modeling) Agency and has worked as a freelance model in Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Maine. since 1985.
An accomplished dancer, Ms. Jenks is the founder, owner, and director of Rockland School of Ballet and has taught ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary and improvisational dance to all ages in the mid-coast area for over 27 years, is a member of many dance associations and has served on the boards of several dance establishments.
Miss Emily, as she is known far and wide, is known for her unique ability to bring the joy, as well as grace, poise, and discipline of the beautiful art of dance to anyone interested, regardless of age, ability, or aspiration.
Through Miss Emily's Etiquette and Modeling Institute and Rockland School of Ballet, Emily’s aim is to bring poise, accomplishment, self-confidence, and a sense of comfort in one's body to the world, while empowering children and teens to develop the strong social skills needed to transform them into leaders of tomorrow. At EMI we encourage youth to support one another, discover new possibilities within themselves and take control of their futures by making good choices..
Miss Emily lives in Thomaston with her husband and has five adult children and one grandchild.
